Midweek in Toronto
What a nice treat that my bosses allowed me to take a Thursday and Friday off to go to my nieces Birthday! Not having to be back at work till Saturday afternoon, I felt like I had a mini vacation. I Thank them for that, I had a nice time and a well needed rest! Although there will be pictures within this blog,,, I am asked not to mention any names. Most of you know the people in the pictures anyways, others can guess. I hadn't seen my sister and family in over a year, since most of you know, I was sick over the holidays and usually go there at Christmas time.
I always feel a little awkward at my sisters, since there is a constant agenda. Usually in the kitchen.... with breakfast, (which I don't eat) , lunch (which I don't eat) and a fabulous dinner. I always want to help, but this time the deep cut on my finger held me back. Other times, helping seemed futile, since they have it down to a fine art! Greeks, excellent cooking, and putting it all together so fast is an art that has rubbed off on my sister bigtime... however I guess I'm more of a server and eater.
Soon after arrival and enjoying a beautiful chicken dinner, my son called, telling me that his Kingston trip had been cancelled and that he'd like to join us. No buses or trains till morning, so we expected him at 10:00 am.... We tried to keep his arrival a secret from his favourite cousin,,, however she soon learned that he was coming,, and was thrilled, since he could then join her and some friends to go to a rock concert,,, "Hedley", who she had met previously. If you know Jord, anything with the word "concert" in it, works for him! ...(to be continued, when I am able to add pictures!)
